If the artistic conception of my creations is not obvious, the melody, however, can still be observed, revealed. By means of experimentation, the usage of materials follows the dictates of their innate character; whether wood, crude or exquisite paper, bamboo, etc, these materials are fully incorporated within my artistic expression.
The methodology of art and that of industry are the epitomal expression of the conceptual principles behind my work.
The past twenty years have been given to the adherence of the concept of “Qi Yun”. It is abstract musicality, the temporal rhythm of abstraction, a tri-lateral exploration of form, concept and medium. My wish is to create, in a complementary manner, an integral component by means of the experiment itself: self-creation through the evolution of a distinct and future artistry.
